A market stall and a supermarket need the same thing: a way to take a card without buying hardware they can't justify. QR Pay turns any smart phone into a QR Pay terminal — the merchant taps in the amount, the customer scans the QR, done.
More on QR Pay →Card acceptance in store and online, on our own acquiring rather than resold from someone else's.
Scan to pay on an smart phone. No terminal to buy, no dock, no cable — the phone is the reader.
Local settlement, reconciliation and reporting, on a schedule you can plan around.
In Fiji we are on both sides of the transaction: we issue cards to the people paying, and we take the payment for the business getting paid. Few operators in the region hold both, and it is what lets us settle locally rather than routing a merchant's money through someone else first.
Acceptance is easy to promise and hard to operate. The part merchants actually feel is settlement — whether the money arrives when it was said it would, and whether anyone can explain it when it doesn't. We run our own settlement rather than passing that to a third party, so the timing, the reconciliation and the exceptions are ours to fix.
